 Abstract:  Southern Arizona Biomedical Librarians (SABL) is an organization open to all persons interested in biomedical information or health science libraries. Its beginnings date back to an informal organizational meeting held on September 30, 1981. The objectives of the organization, as delineated in its July 2011 bylaws are 1) to facilitate communication and cooperation among its members, 2) to encourage and promote the utilization and sharing of health sciences library resources, 3) to promote continuing education of its members, 4) to cooperate with organizations that have similar or allied interests, and 5) to mentor individuals interested in entering the profession.

 Abstract:  Sharlot Mabridth Hall was the first curator and is the namesake of the Sharlot Hall Museum. Her collection is the cornerstone to the Museum’s archives and includes a variety of personal items and records, as well as materials from when she was Arizona’s Territorial Historian. Sharlot was a pioneer, poet, journalist, editor, author, and Arizona’s representative for carrying Arizona’s votes to the Electoral College in 1924. Her large collection contains personal and Territorial Historian correspondence, diaries, journals, scrapbooks, manuscripts, newspaper clippings, notes, and records.
